With the winds wiping around, twigs and leaves have been harder and harder to catch! I decided to make it a bit easer on myself.

I headed over to Rooms to Roam, where they offer fun and unique home decor, furniture and accessories. I’m the kind of birdie who can spend hours in shops like this. Rooms to Roam did not disappoint. Everywhere I turned, there seemed to be something I didn’t see on my first time through!

What surprised me, was how well priced everything was. I found one item, a set of designer pillows that I knew were double the price in a mail order catalogue I had back at the nest!

Julie Mair, the owner, had all the holiday decoration blended nicely into the store, making it feel warm and cozy like it was a cool winter day. I found myself buying a few items I couldn’t live without, the pillows I had eyed, a Wood Wick candle, and (do I dare say it?) I even picked up a Christmas gift.

One of my Early Birdie friends loves to mix up martinis when we get together. Rooms to Roam has a totally fun line of Martini, Wine and Pilsner glasses. I wasn’t going to leave the store without one for my peep!

The cherry on top of my experience, or in my case the worm on the hook came as I was checking out. I became so happy. Why you might ask? Tissue paper! I know what you’re thinking, “this birdie is a freak!” But, tissue paper really makes me happy! I know when a store pulls out colorful tissue paper my items are going to be wrapped beautifully. Which means I will not have to spend time (or money) wrapping that gift myself! I feel like it is the kind of attention to detail that has gotten lost over the years. I believe that details like this set a customer service standard. One that tells their customers, no matter how much time you spend in the store, or how much money you spend on an item, we appreciate your business!
